SPRING BOARD Welcome (introduction)

An introduction to Pilates using the spring board for complete beginners :)
A Pilates springboard is a wall-mounted wooden board equipped with different combinations of long and short springs with varying resistance levels for both arms and legs. Exercises are performed lying on a mat, sitting, kneeling, or standing, allowing you to work your muscles from multiple angles.

It is really effective for building core strength, improving posture, balance and increasing flexibility. The springs can either assist you in completing a challenging movement (like rolling up or down) or resist the movement to build strength.

If you have never done Pilates before, that's OK, we can run through the foundations then get you moving with the springs focusing on correct form, alignment, control and confidence in what you are doing with your body.

You will be required to complete a client registration form which will ask you to detail any injuries, areas of concern or mobility issues along with why you are interested in Pilates and the goals you have for your body.

Is this class for you?
This session will be performed on a mat. To get the best value and most benefit from this class, we suggest you have a reasonable range of mobility and are able to get down and up from the floor. This class is not suitable if you are recovering from surgery, injury or experiencing more complex mobility limitations, a private or semi-private tailored session may suit you better, please reach out if you have any questions as Pilates is for every body.

How do I book a session?
Welcome classes are held occasionally, check the schedule for the next Welcome day, then click the REGISTER button for the class you want to attend.
